FAQ

Good questions.

Who can join IAMRegen?

Clinicians, scientists, engineers and trainees (18+) working in or toward musculoskeletal regeneration. Member and Student membership are open by application; Fellowship follows application and invitation.

What does "I AM Regen" mean?

It’s the programme’s declaration. Each rank and achievement is phrased "I AM Regen ___" so members can announce their standing.

Is "Trained" a clinical certification?

No. "Trained" reflects attendance and completion of a masterclass — a certificate of attendance or completion. It is not a licence to practise or a certification of clinical competence, and only becomes "Certified" if a formally assessed competency programme is published.

How is the consensus produced?

Through a two-round anonymous online Delphi process with published thresholds, ratified at the in-person Congress. The first IAMRegen consensus programme is in development and no annual consensus has yet been published.

Does membership guarantee authorship?

No. Completing both Delphi rounds and attending the Congress qualifies you for collaborator recognition on that project. Authorship is separate and depends on documented contribution under the applicable IAMRegen and journal criteria.

When is the next Congress?

The 5th IAMRegen International Congress — Friday 12 February 2027, Accademia di Medicina, Torino, in person only. It is the fifth meeting in the continuing series and the first held under the IAMRegen name.
